Creo Simulate (formerly ProE/Mechanica) is an application using p-element method to achieve required convergence of results. It is PTC family product working seamlessly with Creo Parametric or can work as stand alone software.
This is student guide for Mechanica and is very similar to Creo guide of the same author.
It is very useful for beginners but my experience shows that it doesn’t cover all aspects of Simulate and Mechanica – which the author mentions in the publication. I found it useful but more complex problem showed some gaps in knowledge and then further training should be considered.
